Corinne Bailey Rae on tour with Sennheiser evolution
11/24/2006 Sennheiser UK

Corinne Bailey Rae has now arrived with a musical poise that sets her head and shoulders above pretty much anybody in her peer group. The response to her first single 'Put Your Records On' has been truly amazing, and she has recently topped the BBC poll of ‘Sound of 2006’.

And offering full tour support is the Sennheiser evolution range of microphones and in-ear monitors. Corinne’s monitor engineer, Duncan Wild reveals, "The e935 gives me a wonderful clean definition on Corinne’s voice, and complements her dynamic variations. I’ve not found any other mic that can do that with such clarity. For backing vocals, I have selected the supercardioid e945’s as these give me both a warm response and minimize bleed through. On the kit, I have always been using e614’s on overheads, snare bottom and hi-hat. I have been amazed at how good they sound, and their exceptional value for money!"

And Wild adds, "The Evolution G2 IEMs proved to be the most reliable, easiest to set up and the best sounding in-ear monitor systems I have ever used. Despite the unpredictable conditions on a festival stage, none of the units have let me down in any way, the transmission and reception is rock solid and the build quality is bulletproof."

Corinne now has a string of sold-out tour dates behind her and is returning to the States in December. After a short tour of Japan in early February 2007, she starts her full European tour later that same month.
