| Gloucester Fire Service Goes Wireless |
The Gloucester Fire and Rescue Service has recently updated its telephone system with advanced technology DW800 wireless headsets from Sennheiser Communications. Besides the ergonomic and hands-free benefits that a headset provide, it also ensures added mobility. Compatible with any Sennheiser Communications telecom headset, the system lets members of the Fire Service move around freely up to 150 meters from a desktop or wallmounted docking station simply by clipping on a lightweight mobile unit.
With the telephone controlling interface TCI 01 and the integrated electronic or mechanical handset lifter, it is also possible to answer and hang up calls while on the move.
SFCOp Craddock of the Gloucester Fire and Rescue Service says, "The DW800 was selected as it allows operators and especially supervisors freedom of movement within the department. We are very pleased especially with the outstanding sound quality."
The wireless system comes equipped with two mobile units which can be hot swapped during a conversation while the system holds the call. Advanced sound technologies such as Dynamic Volume Control, Sound Clarity System, intercom function, and conference calls are only some of the many features of this unique solution.
Systems are available for trial from Sennheiser Communications. Tel: 01494 551551.
