| Sennheiser Gets V Wet at V Fest 2007 |
 |

Despite the typically appalling weather of the worst British summer in recent memory, the 2007 V Fest in Weston Park, Staffordshire, was another triumph for Sennheiser UK. The punters may have gone home thoroughly soaked, but in terms of Sennheiser acts and happy sound engineers, the weekend was a great success.
Sennheiser's Artists Relations team were on site all weekend catching up with engineers, with Sam Davison also available to provide technical support. The team were particularly busy on Saturday as twelve artists performing chose Sennheiser mics and in ear monitors, including Mika, Mark Ronson, Lily Allen, The Goo Goo Dolls, Corrine Bailey Rae and Kasabian.
One bright spot of the weekend arrived when Lily Allen took the stage with a SKM935, spray-painted luminous yellow especially for the occasion. Sunday was equally damp, but proceedings started to look a little sunnier when those in the know went to check out the previously unheard of band, 606, on one of the smaller stages. It turns out that 606 were in fact Sennheiser users and Main Stage headliners The Foo Fighters in acoustic mood, and they sounded fabulous in the intimate setting of a small tent.
Frontman Dave Grohl used an MD431 for his vocals at both of their shows, with the entire backline mic'ed by Sennheiser. Equally glorious were Editors, who were a huge hit on the Main Stage later that afternoon. Singer Tom Smith used Sennheiser E840s, with the entire band having a full backline of Sennheiser instrument mics, including the e901 kick drum mic.
Throughout the weekend the Sennheiser portacabin backstage was a hive of activity as artists and engineers looked through the Sennheiser range and discussed requirements with Artist Relations Managers Mark Saunders and Phil Cummings. Expect more artist news from Sennheiser as the autumn touring season gets underway.
