To provide a uniquely personalised audio-visual experience, Dubai-based installation company Visionaire installed guidePORT™, the latest wireless streaming audio solution from Sennheiser. guidePORT™ uses a proprietary wireless system to automatically deliver managed pre-recorded or real time audio content from each of The Oyster precinct’s interactive information display system to visitors’ head-phones. As soon as the visitor comes in the vicinity of the precinct, the headphones pick-up the related streamed audio for a personalised experience of the Pearl-Qatar.
“guidePORT™ is the most advanced automated guided tour system available and offers a seamless and personalised audio navigation experience allowing visitors to explore at their own pace and level” explained Sennheiser UK’s Middle East Sales Manager, Mig Cardamone. “The large audio storage capacity of the receivers allows different levels of stored information. Multiple languages, more in depth guides and hi-fi quality audio can be accessed by the operator at the touch of a button to target specific groups or even individual visitors giving maximum impact to the installation.”
The audio system was installed by Dubai-based Visionaire and supplied by Venuetech LLC, Sennheiser distributor for the UAE.
