Sennheiser announces the launch of the RoHS compliant (i.e. lead-free) SDC 8200 conference and interpretation system.
20.09.2006 Sennheiser UK

The SDC 8200 series is replacing the SDC 3000 and the SDC 8000 series, and in the course of its redesign, various new features have been added to the SDC system.

The SDC 8200 series now allows electronic voting from all delegate and chairman's units. There is also a new central unit for small and medium sized conference systems: the SDC 8200 CU-M. This unit is able to control up to 50 delegate units, and can handle up to four simultaneous translations from the floor language, with two SDC 8200 ID interpreter units per booth.

The digital SDC 8200 is an ideal choice for both mobile and fixed conference systems. Its compact and elegant design harmoniously blends in with any conference room. The unit features a high-quality built-in loudspeaker, providing excellent sound at a practical volume. By pressing the Mic key, the conference participants can either switch on the microphone or signal their request to speak. At multi-lingual conferences, the translated languages can be listened to via headphones. SDC 8200 DV features two voting modes which are accessed via the participant's personal chip card. Results can be conveniently displayed on the unit's graphic LCD display.

The two central units SDC 8200 CU and SDC 8200 CU-M now include both the camera control and media control interfaces, without the need of buying the SDC 8000 LL4 and SDC 8000 S-SO licences. Existing SDC 8000 systems can be extended with new SDC 8200 delegate units.
