IBC 2001 - Sennheiser Presents Product Highlights for the Professional
13.09.2001 Wedemark/Amsterdam
September 2001 – The key areas of the electronic media industry will be in the spotlight at the ”International Broadcast Convention” (IBC) to be held from September 13 to 18 in Amsterdam. Around 50,000 trade visitors are expected to attend the fair and the conference. Microphone and RF wireless specialist Sennheiser electronic will be presenting its extensive range of products for professionals in Hall 9 (Booth 538).

Top Technology for the Professional User
”As the world’s most important broadcasting event, the IBC plays a vital role as a link between international audio manufacturers, engineers and scientists”, says Rolf Meyer, President of Marketing and Sales at Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG. ”Sennheiser has for many years been the brand for the professional user in the fields of broadcasting, stage and film. This makes the IBC the ideal platform for our company.”

At the Sennheiser booth, professionals from the world of broadcasting can expect to find Sennheiser’s proven electret and RF condenser microphones, as well as dynamic microphones, the highly successful ”evolution™” series, in-ear monitoring systems, professional headphones and the top-of-the-range 3000 and 5000 RF series. These RF wireless microphones and in-ear systems have set new standards throughout the world for musicals, stage productions and major events like the Eurovision Song Contest.

New Highlights from the Professional Range
At the IBC, the world’s smallest professional bodypack transmitter, the
SK 5012, will have its premiere. Designed for theater, musical, film, TV and broadcasting applications, the mini transmitter will make RF wireless transmission even more unobtrusive. With the new evolution wireless EM 550 twin receiver, PA companies will find a professional tool for their daily work. The latest addition to the 3000 Series, the SKP 30 plug-on transmitter – which has been specially designed for film and broadcasting – enables any cabled microphone to be instantly converted for RF wireless operation. With its new series of headsets for monitoring and communication – the HD 280 Professional, HMD 280 Professional and HMD 281 Professional – Sennheiser is targeting the broadcasting and ENG areas. The cardioid MD 46 reporting microphone will be of particular interest to radio and TV stations.
