| Sennheiser at the IFA 2001 |
| New Internet Site and New Products for a Young Target Group |
July 2001 – Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG – according to GfK the market leader in the headphones sector in Germany – will be presenting their new entry-level headphones at the IFA 2001 in Berlin (Hall 15.1, Booth 02). In addition, the audio specialists will reveal their brand-new Internet website. With modern technology and a new look, www.sennheiser.com will provide a comprehensive range of information on products and services.
At the IFA 2001, Sennheiser will be presenting a new range of headphones aimed specifically at teenagers and those in their twenties. “We want to make young people more aware of quality in the audio sector”, explains Rolf Meyer, President of Marketing and Sales, on why his company plans to focus on this target group.
The new PX Series mini-headphones provide maximum wearing comfort and are designed for the specific listening habits of young customers who particularly enjoy using portable music players. The sound qualities of these wired headphones are perfectly matched to new digital systems like MP3 players. Standardized plug connections guarantee trouble-free use with all commercially available products.
Sennheiser’s new website sets international standards for the industry. The multi-lingual site in German, English, French and Spanish provides customers, sales partners and media representatives with the most varied information on products and services. An image database supports dealers and journalists in their everyday work. “The new website offers an excellent platform for interactive communication with specific target groups”, says President Meyer on the strategic importance of the site. “The address www.sennheiser.com stands for qualified and up-to-date information from the audio sector and is therefore a major source of information for consumers and professionals.”
www.sennheiser.com provides both basic facts and more detailed information from all fields of application for anyone interested in acoustics. What is more, the new internet platform also represents the ideal basis for optimizing business processes for the company’s sales subsidiaries and sales partners.
Visitors to the IFA can look forward to an entertaining program at the Sennheiser booth. Presenters from KISS FM in Berlin will put on an attractive show every day on the Sennheiser stage, which will then be integrated into their radio programs. Competitions and the chance to try out a whole range of products will round off Sennheiser’s program of events at the IFA.
