The Worlds Smallest Professional Bodypack Transmitter - SK 5012
13.09.2001
Product Launch at the IBC 2001
The world’s smallest professional bodypack transmitter will have its premiere at the IBC 2001. With the SK 5012, Sennheiser has packaged the excellent RF wireless properties of Sennheiser bodypack transmitters into an extremely compact and rugged housing. By using miniature components the size of the lightweight transmitter was reduced to a mere 61 x 53 x 17 mm.

A Stage Professional
The SK 5012 is a ”wish come true” for professional users in the areas of musical, TV show and film where unobtrusive attachment of a transmitter to the body or clothing is of eminent importance. As required for these applications, the bodypack transmitter is optimally protected against humidity and unintentional operation.

Due to its specially optimized antenna design, the SK 5012 features a very good RF output power of typ. 30 mW. A set of two AAA size batteries ensures approx. 7 hours of continuous operation, with the output power being independent of the battery status. The SK 5012 bodypack transmitter delivers an extremely pure audio signal as its noise reduction system has been optimized for use with Sennheiser’s clip-on classic, the MKE 2.

Professional RF Wireless Technology
The SK 5012 is the most recent product in Sennheiser’s top-of-the-range 5000 Series which is considered as the standard worldwide for demanding RF wireless projects. Whether Broadway or Westend musicals, large events with difficult RF conditions or concerts: wherever excellent audio transmission is required a Sennheiser system solution is not far away. Solid RF, unbeatable multi-channel capability and excellent sound are the hallmarks of the 5000 Series – which is bound to strengthen its top position in the international broadcast and event business with the new SK 5012.

The SK 5012 will be available at all specialist dealers from approx. end of October. We would be pleased to send you a sample transmitter for you to test.
