Klein+Hummel has launched the CLS-FX series, slim and elegant loudspeakers specifically engineered for use with flat screen displays.

The CLS-FX series features a built in stereo amplifier with integrated processing for speaker tuning and a virtual bass effect, making the loudspeaker sound much larger than it really is. Available in 2, 3 and 5-inch driver sizes, the CLS produces an impressively low apparent frequency response. Because this tiny loudspeaker has a line array configuration, the user has a choice of containing the audio directly in front of the display (with the loudspeaker in a horizontal position) or spreading the audio out to a wide area (with the loudspeaker in a vertical position). The virtual bass illusion is also contained within the coverage pattern of the loudspeaker, providing low frequency control when used in noise sensitive areas such as shops or hotel suites.

Although the CLS-FX is available in ready made configurations ­ the CLS-2FX1250-B is black, with 2-inch drivers and fits perfectly under a 50-inch screen, while the CLS-3FX1250-B is identical in colour and length but comes with 3-inch drivers ­ the CLS-FX series can be provided in bespoke configurations, lengths and colours, providing a discreet yet powerful speaker for any flat screen display application.
