Tonight there's a rehearsal with the band. Once again, you'll have to give it all you've got, you'll sing till you get hoarse, at full power against the volume of the band.
The demands that you make of yourself and your voice are the following:

|  | powerful sound
| | ability to stand out against the other instruments
| | maximum volume. |
And that's how you normally proceed: using maximum pressure to force everything out so that your voice is projected to the front as much as possible.
But with a little more understanding about how the voice works and how it produces sound, you will soon realise that there are better alternatives.
