A tour through the features of EASE-IR is not complete without a look at the database software. The current radiator and modulator database includes Sennheiser's full set of IR products. Along with technical data such as the coverage area and power consumption of a radiator, the database also contains simulation-relevant data such as the maximum number of channels of a modulator or the coverage pattern of a radiator. The software allows this information to be viewed and investigated in detail. Furthermore, the users themselves may add data files to the base, as well as verify existing ones.

One of the most impressive features of the software is the rendered display of the directivity balloon of a radiator. Depending on the arrangement and number of diodes, the axial-symmetrical three-dimensional patterns may show a more or less directional behavior. Another interesting feature of the database is the possibility to enter and view the relationship between the ambient temperature and the output power of a device. This parameter is also taken into account in the simulation.
The EASE-IR simulation software is a powerful tool. It is ideally suited for the computation of IR power and S/N distribution and for graphically visualizing the model and the results obtained. An intuitive, easy-to-use interface greatly reduces the learning curve and gives the user the opportunity to quickly predict the performance of an IR system. EASE-IR, a software that is unique in the world, has already proven its roots in science in a variety of successful simulations of implemented projects and applications.
