“In safe training environments, music can be an invaluable boost for runners. We are pleased to be able to link up with a blue chip brand like Sennheiser who can offer high quality equipment and sound to runners for their daily training,” remarked Geoff Wightman, MD at runbritain.

The site also provides a Running Rewards initiative that can be used in conjunction with the Training Wizard; collectively the two encourage, inform and reward members to reach new personal bests. Through a series of tips and tricks, running schedules and training techniques members can obtain greater in-sight and thus perform better with a community based motivation platform that will help them to push new boundaries, at the same be rewarded for their dedication.

Runners can claim Reward Running miles for achieving 13 different measures of progress within running. Runners are working  towards some fantastic end-of-year prizes with 180 pairs of Sennheiser’s superb CX 680i, CX 680, PMX 680i, PMX 680 & CX 680 headphones being awarded to the top Reward Runners and an adidas Mi-Coach system (RRP £120) to the top finisher in each region of the UK - 12 in total.

Mimi Anderson has recently signed up to the RunningRewards programme and as a keen runner is hoping to be one of the lucky winners on New Year's Eve. She said, "I often listen to music on my long training runs, my songs help keep me energised and I have been known to sing along to the music in my head! If I'm struggling during a session the rhythm helps with my pacing getting me over a bad patch, making the miles go by quickly. Happy songs put a smile on my face and a spring in my step!"

“The new section of our site is like having your own personal trainer at the touch of a button but membership to this club is totally free,” Wightman concluded.
