In his new role Christian will head Sennheiser’s drive to increase market penetration of the professional telecoms headset market through the comms channel. Sennheiser has ambitious plans to increase UK sales based on growing headset attach rates which the company predicts will soar from the current five per cent to 60 per cent for active softphone users in the coming years.

Sennheiser has a legacy of 65 years as experts in acoustics and audio technology. The company’s professional headsets have some unique design features that provide significant advantages to increase productivity and protect health and safety in the workplace. Sennheiser’s recently introduced CIRCLE Line series of wired headsets for professional workplace use has already won multiple awards including an ‘Office Oscar’ from Office Equipment News and a coveted ‘Editor’s Choice’ Award from Business Info magazine.

Commenting on his appointment Christian Bauers stated, “The UK is the biggest market in Europe for professional headsets and second only to the United States worldwide. It is critical for us to increase our market penetration here, so I will be working with our UK team and our channel partners to ensure the market is fully aware of the considerable benefits provided by Sennheiser professional headsets for the telecoms sector.”
