From Input to Output - Sennheiser supplies the signal chain at PLASA09

Exhibiting on Stand 1-F10, the theme of Sennheiser UK’s PLASA09 presence is From Input to Output. As well as its high profile live production and recording products, the theme highlights the company’s newest product lines and distributed brands, which provide high quality products for the audio installation market and cater for all elements of the signal chain.

Taking care of the input side of the equation, Sennheiser’s unparalleled experience in both wired and wireless microphones is legendary, with high quality products available for all types of installation.

“Sennheiser is heavily committed to the installed sound market,” says Dave Hawker, Sennheiser UK’s director of engineering. “Early on, we started attacking the areas in the audio chain that we considered to be lacking in solutions that address the specific needs of the industry. As a result, Sennheiser has quickly become an expert supplier of installed sound products, delivering them at the right price and at the right time.”

Examples of this focus can be seen with Sennheiser’s 2000 Series and G3 Series wireless microphone systems, which take pride of place on the stand together with the WiCOS wireless conference system.

Sennheiser UK is also the UK dealer’s port of call for Neumann microphones, a byword for quality and ultra-professionalism. In amongst the legendary Neumann products on display is the KMS 104 Plus handheld microphone, launched this summer. The KMS 104 plus has been especially optimised for the requirements of female voices in the rock and pop field. The high acoustic resolution and smooth frequency response of the microphones ensure that the musician has optimal control of their stage performance at all times.

Moving through the signal chain, Sennheiser will also be showing new products from its distributed brands, which include APart Audio, DAS Audio, K-Array, Klein + Hummel and RANE. These products include Ethernet-based digital audio distribution solutions, signal processors, amplifiers and loudspeaker systems for a very wide range of applications - from nightclubs to hospitals, factories, public buildings, houses of worship and many more.

“The benefit that this range of products brings, particularly on the loudspeaker side, is that although there is a degree of crossover, each brand we represent brings with it a very different offering,” explains Ken Morrison, Sennheiser UK’s business area manager, installed sound. “This means that we can cover every possible application, from an installation into the smallest bar or the most prestigious hotel, right through to catering for the biggest rock band on the planet.”

“Microphones, headphones and monitoring solutions for live, studio and install environments, together with the comprehensive service and support we offer PA companies and providers of live events, including supporting RF activities out in the field are, of course, what Sennheiser is most famous for,” adds Phil Massey, general manager of Sennheiser UK.

“The combination of this level of service, our own products and the third party brands we distribute at Sennheiser UK  addresses almost every conceivable part of the signal chain for installation engineers.

“At PLASA09, we will be demonstrating the range of high quality, flexible product lines we have available for virtually any requirement.”
