Qatar Equestrian Federation Makes Audio Jump with Sennheiser
The Qatar Equestrian Federation recently completed a large-scale upgrade of the audio system in the Equestrian Federation Centre in Doha. And at the heart of the upgrade was a selection of microphone products by Sennheiser.
Taking the advice of Doha-based installation company Audio Visual Technology (AV-TECH), the Federation purchased four Sennheiser ew 145 G2 wireless microphone systems for use by presenters on site. The four channels were run through a pair of remote antennas thanks to the addition of the ASP 2 passive antenna splitter.
“Thanks to the excellent RF of the Sennheiser wireless microphones there were no coverage issues,” explains Hadi Arzouni, General Manager of AV-TECH, “We knew that we could rely on the powerful, long range Sennheiser microphones to cover the wide area of the Equestrian Federation Centre. We also knew that we needed quality audio as well as coverage, which is why we chose Sennheiser.
“The Equestrian Federation Centre hosted the National Equestrian Tournament soon after the completion of the installation and the feedback from everyone at the Centre about the microphones was amazing. The audio signal response is really great.”
Arzouni is delighted to report that the installation has even exceeded the expectations of the Qatar Equestrian Federation, who were delighted with their purchase from the first time they heard the mics in action.
“Even when we were testing the system the client was impressed,” he continues. “He pointed out how clear and powerful it all sounded. The day we switched the new system on I remember him saying that he could feel the improved intelligibility immediately and that the audio system was a huge improvement on what they had had before.”
