Sennheiser Sounds Right Note at The British Music Experience
Sennheiser microphones and audio technology have played a hugely important role in the history of British music. So it is entirely appropriate that when the British Music Experience, a permanent, high-tech, interactive music exhibition, opens at The O2 in March 2009, Sennheiser will be a major sponsor of what promises to become one of London's 'must-see' attractions.
Sennheiser's involvement goes far beyond financial backing. As a permanent exhibition documenting the very best of British music, the creators of the British Music Experience needed quality audio equipment that sounded superb and is extremely resilient. This is why 225 Sennheiser headphones, the critically acclaimed HD 215, have been used throughout the entire exhibition.
Sennheiser's microphone technology has also been used at the exhibition that will cover 2,500 square metres in The O2 bubble, The O2's cutting edge exhibition space. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the professional recording environment at first hand; singing along to a classic British hit through a Sennheiser evolution e 935 microphone in the Sennheiser Vocal Booth.
The Sennheiser logo will appear on all of the British Music Experience's
promotional material and visitors will be able to compare and test
Sennheiser headphones before purchasing in the British Music Experience's music store.
"The entire team at Sennheiser is delighted to be associated with the
British Music Experience," said Sennheiser UK General Manager, Phil Massey. "This promises to be a Mecca for music fans around the world, and as a company dedicated to producing the finest audio possible, it made perfect sense for us to get involved."
Lesley Saville, Executive Director, Partnerships for AEG Europe, added:
"Sennheiser is an obvious partner for the British Music Experience. This is about them showcasing their equipment in surroundings that show them off to the maximum, I have no doubt the British Music Experience will do just that."
Since the launch of the Company¹s first microphone 1946's DM 1
Sennheiser has become firmly established as the choice of the world's
greatest artists. Since those early days Sennheiser equipment has been used in the studio and on stage by thousands of British artists including The Police, George Michael, Muse, Wet Wet Wet, Kaiser Chiefs, Leona Lewis, Keane, The Feeling, Editors and The Ting Tings.
