The NoiseGard™ principle, developed in 1984 and optimized for airline use, relieves air traffic of one of its greatest sources of interference: engine and wind noise. Beyond the clouds it is very loud. NoiseGard™ provides noise compensation to cancel out a large part of the noise in the especially disturbing low-frequency range. Together with circumaural passive headphones, which ”eliminate” high-frequency noise, it is possible to reduce aircraft noise by up to 80%.
