Ralf-Günther Münchow Takes Over Advertising and Public Relations at Sennheiser
September 2001 – The acoustics specialist Sennheiser electronic in Wedemark near Hanover is expanding its staff in the area of communications. Ralf-Günther Münchow (43) is taking over as manager of Marketing Communications at Sennheiser as of January 1 2002. In this position he will be responsible for the worldwide image of the company in the areas of advertising, press, and public relations. Münchow is currently the business editor of the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung.


”With this appointment Sennheiser is further improving its strong activities for international expansion, because communication is taking on increasing strategic significance”, explains Rolf Meyer, speaker of the Executive Board of Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG.

In recent years the company has had particular success in communicating in the media the problems related to the role of a mid-sized global player. Likewise Sennheiser electronic has been able to highlight the excellent opportunities of ”Location Germany”.

Ralf-Günther Münchow studied media science, sociology, and philosophy at the University of Osnabrück. After working as a freelance author for radio, television, and industry, he completed a voluntary training period at the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung (HAZ). On the business editorial staff of the HAZ, he has handled the area of social systems and for years has been responsible for the ”Professions & Education” desk. Münchow is married and has a 12-year-old daughter.
