An antenna for (almost) all purposes - Sennheiser
presents the A 5000-CP circularly polarized helical
antenna
16.05.2006 Wedemark/Paris

High gain, virtually no multipath problems and superb RF performance over the entire UHF broadcast band - the
A 5000-CP passive helical antenna that Sennheiser is presenting at the AES is the optimum antenna solution for even the most demanding projects and difficult transmission conditions. The circularly polarized A 5000-CP can be used as both a transmit and receive device, making it the ideal antenna for wireless monitoring systems and radio microphones.

Unlike conventional helical antennas, most of which have a much narrower bandwidth, the A 5000-CP covers the entire UHF range from 450 to 960 MHz. This flexibility makes setting up even the most complex RF transmission systems much easier. The antenna minimizes variations in signal strength and almost completely eliminates multipath problems. The gain of the A 5000-CP over the entire UHF band is superior to that of conventional antennas.

The A 5000-CP features an opening angle of ± 40° and considerably improves the performance of Non-Diversity systems. The sturdy radome is in black acrylic, while the base plate is made of anodized aluminum. The antenna can be mounted on a stand, on the wall or, using an additionally available Matthews pin, on a lighting grid.
