Sennheiser launches new MD 5235 dynamic microphone head
28.03.2007 Frankfurt/Wedemark

Sennheiser is launching a new microphone head for its top-of-the-range RF wireless microphone, the SKM 5200. The MD 5235 mic head is just what artists have been waiting for — an extremely rugged dynamic capsule with a great sound that easily cuts through high on-stage levels. The new mic head can be used with all handheld transmitters of Sennheiser’s renowned 5000 Series, the SKM 5000, SKM 5000 N and the latest model, the SKM 5200.

The new microphone head gives even more versatility to the SKM 5200 for this is the ninth capsule available for the handheld transmitter, making it the ideal professional tool for covering any application and miking requirement. According to Stephan Scherthan, Sennheiser’s Industry Team Manager for the Music Industry, “The SKM 5200 was able to cover an enormous range of applications, but there wasn’t a capsule specifically designed for vocals on very loud stages. The
MD 5235 has been specifically tailored to meet this need and ensures vocal projection even with very loud rock bands. Based on the successful evolution e 935 vocal microphone, it combines the pronounced presence and vocal ‘punch’ of this cardioid dynamic microphone with the superior RF wireless transmission of the
SKM 5200.“

The MD 5235 combines powerful sound with exceptional feedback rejection and will be available in black and nickel from April 2007.
