Tippi was born and brought up on the outskirts of Glasgow. Taking up music in her early teens, she quickly learned to play guitar and drums. After leaving school, she studied at Strathclyde University, graduating with an Honours degree in Applied Music.
Although citing Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, The Cure, AC/DC & Radiohead as musical influences, Tippi was greatly inspired by Paul Weller. An ambition was fulfilled recently when she was invited to perform as Weller?s special guest on tour, duetting with him during his encores each night.
Tippi has released two singles on her own label, Tip Top Records, both of which sold out of their original pressings, entering the Scottish Top 20 charts along the way. The latter of which actually entered the official U.K. singles independent chart at number 16.
No matter whether she is ?rocking? with her backing band or performing ?solo & unplugged?, Tippi has proven to be an accomplished live performer, having played in a wide variety of venues, from headlining in clubs to opening in arenas.
